Shipping

Every work ships fully insured and tracked, worldwide. A piece is packed by hand for the journey and registered end to end, so its progress can be followed from the studio to your wall.

Packaging

How a work travels depends on what it is. Unframed works on paper or unstretched canvas are rolled in a rigid tube with acid-free interleaving. Stretched, cradled, or framed works ship flat in a custom-built box and, for larger or higher-value pieces, in a purpose-made crate. The method is chosen for the work and confirmed in your quote before anything is dispatched.

Indicative lead times

Transit times vary with destination and the chosen carrier. As a guide, once a work is dispatched:

  • Australia — 2 to 5 business days.
  • United States — 3 to 5 business days.
  • United Kingdom — 4 to 6 business days.

Other destinations are quoted individually. Larger works that ship crated, and works dispatched from a current exhibition rather than the studio, may take longer; we confirm the realistic window with you before you commit.

Duties and taxes

Prices on the site are in Australian dollars and do not include any import duties or taxes your own country may charge. For international orders, you may be liable for import duty, VAT, GST, or similar charges on arrival; these are set by your destination and are payable by you as the importer.

Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice declaring the work honestly as original art. Original paintings are generally classified under HS code 9701, which many countries treat favourably for duty — though the final assessment always rests with your local customs authority.

A quote for your country

Shipping is arranged per work and per destination, so the fairest way to price it is to ask. For a quote to a specific country — including packaging, insurance, and an indicative duty position — email lin@linwong.com with the piece you have in mind and where it is going.
