Certificate of Authenticity

Every original painting is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist. It is your formal record that the work is a genuine, original piece by Shirleen Andrea Wong, who works as Lin Wong.

What the certificate records

Each certificate sets out the details that identify the work and place it in the artist's catalogue:

  • The title of the work.
  • The year it was completed.
  • The medium and substrate.
  • The dimensions.
  • For prints, the edition details — the edition size and the number of your impression.
  • The artist's signature.

When it is issued

The certificate accompanies the work on purchase. For originals it travels with the painting; for limited-edition prints it confirms the specific impression you own. Keep it with your records — it supports the work's provenance and is useful for insurance and any future resale.

Verifying a certificate

If you would like to confirm a certificate, or have acquired a Lin Wong work and want to verify its details against the studio's records, email lin@linwong.com with the title and, where you have it, a photograph of the certificate. We are glad to confirm authenticity directly.
