Returns and Care
Each work is an original or part of a small limited edition, chosen deliberately, so a purchase is a considered decision rather than an impulse. Take the time you need before you commit — ask for more photographs, dimensions in your space, or a video of the surface in natural light, and we will gladly provide them.
Your statutory rights
Where the law of your country gives you a right to cancel a distance purchase — for example the statutory cooling-off period available to many buyers in the United Kingdom and the European Union — we honour it in full. If that right applies to you and you wish to use it, email lin@linwong.com within the period the law allows and we will guide you through returning the work.
Outside those statutory rights, sales are final, as set out in our Terms of Service: because each piece is unique or part of a limited edition, we do not offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges. None of this limits any consumer guarantee or other right that applies to you and cannot lawfully be excluded.
If a work arrives damaged
Every shipment is insured, and damage in transit is rare, but if it happens we will make it right. Inspect your work on arrival and, if anything is wrong, contact lin@linwong.com within 48 hours with photographs of the packaging and the piece. We will arrange the insurance claim and a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
Where a return is agreed — under your statutory rights or because a work was not as described — the piece must come back in its original condition and original packaging. We cover the return shipping when a work arrived damaged or was not as described; otherwise return shipping is arranged at your cost, fully insured and tracked.
Caring for your work
An original painting is durable but alive to its surroundings. A little care keeps it looking as it did the day it left the studio:
- Hang it out of direct sunlight; prolonged exposure can shift colour over time.
- Keep it in a stable environment, away from damp, heat, and sharp swings in humidity.
- Dust gently with a clean, dry, soft brush or cloth.
- Never use water, solvents, or household cleaning products on the surface.
- If a work ever needs more than dusting, ask us first — email lin@linwong.com before attempting any cleaning or restoration.
